Soulspension and Naturopathy

Ornella Valenti

Summer, hot days, relaxation, leafing through a magazine I see: "SoulSpension, a mat for the soul" this title intrigues me a lot, then among other explanations there is... it helps to activate conscious and deep breathing.

I can't resist and call straight away (I don't like communicating by email or messages... people's voices speak beyond words!!) Patrizia speaks to me with enthusiasm (even if I disturbed her holidays) we agree to talk when she returns to understand better what it consists of. He proposes that we meet, like this, with my husband,

I'm going to Carrara to meet Patrizia and this "magic" tool! The first time I saw SoulSpension I said to myself "that's all?" Who knows why we always think that wellness tools have to be complicated! We lie down and guided by Patrizia we carry out the exercises that she calls "Rescue", incredible as the perception of the body,

thanks to the instrument and the breath, you change in 10 minutes! Love at first sight!! The adventure begins. I'm signing up for the training! Today I'm here to write my testimony of how I introduced this technique into naturopathy at different levels:

Diet (Grazia and Paola testimony)

Psychosomatic problems linked to various tensions (Sandy testimony)

Endometriosis (Paola testimony)

Postural re-education

As a Naturopath I have made this principle my own: Act on the patient's illness beliefs to restore psycho-emotional balance and encourage self-care through diversified natural methods (nutrition, phytotherapy, oligotherapy and physical exercises).

Taking care of a client involves extreme attention to the nuances, both in terms of the signals given by the physical and biological symptoms, and in the way of presenting the problem, from which the emotional signals that are often not openly declared.

Because it is often the unspoken words that allow us to know some important data that allow us to understand the cause of the health imbalance.

SYNERGY BETWEEN NATUROPATHY AND SOULSPENSION

N., 44 years old, fibromyalgic,

dietary imbalances due to swallowing problems (no problem was found medically and the case was defined as "anxious syndrome").N. he arrives moving in an almost circumspect manner, with a rigid posture. She introduced herself with a soft tone of voice, rather closed and reserved.

She sat stiffly in the chair. When I asked her what the problem was that she had come to me for,

she replied that she wanted to fix her diet because in the last quarter of last year "she ate very poorly because she had swallowing problems which forced her to cover all her food with mayonnaise or other sauces in order to swallow them".

Furthermore, she often had pain due to abdominal swelling even though she claims to have no problems with elimination. Observing her, I immediately noticed the patient's rigidity and closure, as she moved with her shoulders closed and in an anteroflexed posture, with a stiff neck. The ride was very controlled and rather closed.

The expression on his face was pained, his color pale. She maintained eye contact in a rather sustained manner, giving me the impression of wanting answers that she had never been able to get until then. In fact, while you briefly tell me what your therapeutic experience is, you emphasize several times that you don't feel understood,

most of the professionals consulted underline her "anxious syndrome", but she says "certainly all my problems are not invented!" The only diagnosis that could justify the pain is fibromyalgia.

At this first contact I had the impression that the patient was very closed and disheartened and that she had little support around her. I tried to put the patient at ease and began to collect the administrative data for the management of the file (data personal details, health insurance coverage, doctor, etc.

) and I asked the lady if she had informed her doctor that she would turn to my office. I proceed with the anamnesis and data collection. On the basis of this information and given the patient's requests regarding her disorders food, I explore this aspect in depth by compiling a food day-

type and I suggest you fill out a food diary from now on to understand what your habits are. I then propose two simple changes to your current diet:

drink a deciliter of water every hour,

start main meals with a natural fruit or vegetable juice and eliminate simple sugars from snacks in favor of those from seasonal fruit (approx. 150 grams).

In addition to this, I advised her to take probiotics, underlining the importance of a good balance of the intestinal microbiota.

In reference to anergic diathesis (general tiredness) I recommend the complex of trace elements: CuAuAg by Oligopharm to be taken 5 ml in the morning on an empty stomach, holding the mixture under the tongue for approximately 30 seconds and then swallowing. All the problems of N. (tiredness , joint pain and inflammation,

neck pain and problems with swallowing and digestion) make me think, in addition to fibromyalgia and anxiety syndrome, also to the vagus nerve.

What is the vagus nerve and where is it located

The Vagus Nerve is the tenth cranial nerve, that is, number 10 of a series of 12 nerves that start directly inside the skull.

It exits the skull through the jugular hole, passes vertically through the neck and dives into the thorax, where it begins its wandering through the viscera. It is called the Vagus Nerve precisely because it "wanders" through almost all the organs of the body, especially the digestive ones ( stomach and intestines).

INTERESTING NEWS: there are two Vagus Nerves! That's right: there is the right Vagus Nerve and the left Vagus Nerve.

WHAT THE VAGO NERVE IS FOR

Summarizing all the functions of the Vagus Nerve is very difficult, given that some have only been explored recently, and others are probably still to be discovered.

We will therefore limit ourselves to talking about the most interesting ones in the rehabilitation field.

THE VAGO NERVE PROMOTES DIGESTION AND "RELAXATION" FUNCTIONS

The Vagus Nerve makes up the majority of the Parasympathetic Nervous System. The Parasympathetic Nervous System is activated when we are in a situation of tranquility and relaxation.

When the brain establishes that we are in a moment of relaxation, it gives input to the Parasympathetic Nervous System, and therefore to our Vagus Nerve, which:

reduces heart rate

promotes digestion by increasing gastric acid and intestinal peristalsis

promotes muscle relaxation

promotes "recovery" functions such as the immune system.

THE VAGO NERVE INFORMS THE BRAIN OF WHAT HAPPENS IN THE VISCERA

Nobody ever talks about it, but most of the fibers of the Vagus Nerve do not serve to aid digestion, but to inform the brain of what is happening in the viscera.

If you can feel a stomach ache it is "thanks" to the Vagus Nerve, damn it... This is very important when we think about what can put our Vagus Nerve in difficulty: if the stomach or intestines are constantly inflamed, it will suffer certainly.

THE VAGO NERVE IS AN ANTI-INFLAMMATORY SYSTEM

In 2002, neurosurgeon Kevin Tracey,

in a famous study he injected anti-inflammatory liquid into the brains of rats, noting that this operation had anti-inflammatory effects throughout the body. These anti-inflammatory effects vanished if the Vagus Nerve was cut: even injecting the anti-inflammatory into the brain, without the Nerve Vague this did not reach the rest of the body.

From there a series of studies started that demonstrated how the Vagus Nerve is one of the main "internal" anti-inflammatory systems we have, thanks to the production of acetylcholine.

SYMPTOMS OF A NON-FUNCTIONING, OR "INFLAMED" VAGUS NERVE

Given the complexity of its functions,

It is certainly not easy to understand what symptoms you have when the Vagus Nerve doesn't work.

INFLAMMATION AND OTHER SYMPTOMS

As we have seen, the Vagus Nerve is an anti-inflammatory system: those with a poorly functioning Vagus Nerve tend to have frequent inflammation at various levels.

Then there are a whole other series of symptoms that are often talked about, such as allergies, food intolerances and even anxiety. It is much more likely that the cause of Vagus Nerve disorders is strong muscle tension, in particular of the sterno-cleido-mastoid muscle , which is in intimate relationship with the Vagus.

VAGUS NERVE PROBLEMS CAUSED BY NUTRITION AND GASTROENTERIC DISORDERS

We have seen it before: the Vagus Nerve is above all an informant. It informs the brain of the state in which the organs are found, especially the stomach and intestines. We always hear about how the Vagus Nerve can cause digestive problems,

but we never talk about the opposite: if the digestive system does not work well (for example because you eat poorly) the Vagus Nerve will be negatively affected.

VAGO NERVE PROBLEMS CAUSED BY EMOTIONAL STATES

Several studies have demonstrated the correlation between emotional states and the functions of the Vagus Nerve. It is quite intuitive,

if you think that the Vagus Nerve has its maximum activity in moments of relaxation. How will vagal functionality be in those people who are always and constantly in tension or under stress?

FIBROMYALGIA

Causes The following list contains theorized causes of fibromyalgia,

together with some brief exemplary explanations. It is possible that in the future some parts of the puzzle will come closer together to form a coherent overall picture, although until then the most diverse theories will have to remain valid. The list makes no claim to completeness,

nor does the Swiss League against Rheumatism intend to take a position for or against any specific theory. GeneticsAlthough the family incidence suggests a genetic predisposition to the development of fibromyalgia, to induce this painful disease, additional factors must be added to the hereditary risk.

Pain disorderThe pain theory interprets fibromyalgia as a somatoform disorder of pain perception and pain processing. In somatoform disorders it is not possible to recognize any causal organic alteration. In the case of fibromyalgia,

the disorder originates from a lack of production of natural pain inhibitors or from a reduction in the pain threshold, so that over time a "pain memory" would develop (i.e. painful sensations without there being any triggering stimuli). StressMany affected people show a low stress tolerance,

and some theories include stress among the triggers and risk factors of fibromyalgia. The spectrum ranges from excessive and continuous physical stress to various forms of psychological stress such as serious interpersonal conflicts, mobbing and psychological trauma.

This theory identifies stress as the actual cause of disease and interprets fibromyalgia syndrome as a disorder of overcoming stress, which is often associated with impaired pain processing.

PsychosomaticPsychic factors play a non-negligible role in fibromyalgia: many affected people suffer from depression, are irritable and do not enjoy a restful sleep. According to psychosomatic theory,

behind the multifaceted symptom picture of fibromyalgia fundamentally lie specific psychic causes such as unresolved conflicts and unresolved traumatic experiences. Mitochondrial dysfunction A new theory interprets fibromyalgia as a disease of the mitochondria, i.e. the "energy plants" of (muscle) cells

. Cellular stress and the associated increase in nitrogen formation set up a vicious biochemical cycle that blocks essential metabolic processes in the mitochondria (citrate cycle, respiratory chain), resulting in a whole series of biochemical reactions at the systemic and organic level. For example,

the hyperactivation of specific neuronal receptors in the spinal cord and central nervous system disturbs the processing of pain (see "Pain disorder"). This theory postulates that the triggering agents are various factors such as viruses (e.g. the Epstein-type virus). Barr), bacteria (e.g. those of borreliosis), toxins,

allergens, mechanical trauma (e.g. whiplash, head injury) or psychological trauma. Nutrient deficiencies Orthomolecular medicine is accumulating evidence that fibromyalgia may be caused by a deficiency of certain nutrients, including selenium , L-carnitine, coenzyme Q10, inosine,

magnesium and vitamin B6. Since the production of energy in cells depends on these nutrients, their possible deficiency inevitably reduces the mitochondrial capacity to produce energy.

The nutrient deficiency theory specifically refers to the carnitine deficiency found in many affected people. The consequence would be a compromise in the transport of fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are transformed into energy.

Reduced fat metabolism can be demonstrated biochemically by detection of increased lipid levels.Hyperacidity (waste in the connective tissue)The hyperacidity theory locates the cause of fibromyalgia in the connective tissue (in the extracellular matrix).

Each cell is surrounded by the fundamental gelatinous substance of the connective tissue, capable of maintaining the extracellular environment in which the exchange of substances between cells and vessels (blood and lymphatic) takes place and in which the nerve fibres, without endings in the cells, collect information on the conditions of the cells themselves.

In addition to this, the connective tissue performs a function of maintaining the acid-base balance of the organism: if its detoxifying and buffering capacities are no longer sufficient, it accumulates excess acids in its structure in the form of neutral soluble salts. In high concentrations, these salts ("slag") would produce crystals,

which would cause local nervous irritation and minimal inflammatory reactions (not diagnosable by blood tests) and, ultimately, would be responsible for the development of fibromyalgia. The causes of hyperacidity include incorrect nutrition, stress,

excessive physical exertion and diseases such as borreliosis or diabetes mellitus.

TREATMENTS Physical activity • muscle stretching exercise programs and/or that improve cardiovascular fitness • relaxation techniques and other methods to reduce muscle tension It is important to gently stretch your muscles and move your joints through adequate joint mobilization daily and Before

. It is also useful to consult a rehabilitation therapist who can help establish a specific exercise program to improve posture, flexibility and physical fitness. In this regard, working with SoulSpension is essential.

Nutrition Sometimes it may be useful to improve your diet to promote vagal functionality and to re-establish an acid-alkaline balance which is important for combating muscle inflammation and joint pain. Breathing Guide breathing and maintain a breathing rhythm to further stimulate vagal activity,

keeping it for 15 minutes. The patient can perform the exercise at home.

I ask you if you are currently undergoing therapy for your back problems, N.

she says that she is now afraid of any intervention because after the last physiotherapy sessions she was stuck! I "introduce" her to Soulspension by explaining the principles on which the tool is based: Conscious breathing I listen to my breathing Rooting of the heart I connect with the beat of my heart, I I listen,

I connect with my emotionsMindfulnessI free my mind from heavy thoughtsKindness towards oneselfI don't judge myself, I decide to love myself, I give my body what it actually needsIntentI want to take care of myself, of my body and make food my ally for a lifetime healthy and full of energy

THE BENEFITS OF CONSCIOUS BREATHING

As we have seen, both the fibromyalgia component and the vagal component benefit greatly from breathing because: DETOXIFICATION: Approximately 75% of the toxins we produce every day are released through breathing as carbon dioxide.

It is carbon dioxide that keeps the buffer systems that are the basis of the acid-base balance within our body efficient. IMPROVEMENT OF VASCULAR CIRCULATION: Breath regulates the venous return of the inferior vena cava, if it is abdominal it pushes the blood upwards,

sucking it from the lower limbs and improving the return of venous blood to the heart and therefore improving the efficiency of the entire vascular system. INCREASED SPORTS PERFORMANCE: For better elimination of waste such as lactic acid,

but also for a better venous return and an improvement in circulation and therefore also in the oxygenation and nourishment of the muscles. GREATER OXYGENATION OF THE TISSUES Due to an improvement in circulation. Decreased inflammatory response.

IMPROVES DIGESTION AND EVACUATION Through diaphragmatic breathing the viscera are massaged and with them the intestinal peristalsis is improved, promoting evacuation and improving intestinal transit. IMPROVES POSTURE AND THEREFORE INCREASES MUSCLE RELAXATION.

By breathing we learn to become aware of all the contractions present in our body and we learn to let them go, finding a natural and force-free posture. FREE OUR BLOCKED EMOTIONS. We can consider that breathing patterns are like a metaphor for how we live our life;

and each of us has a different breathing pattern. When we restrict our breathing, we are also repressing and suppressing our emotional responses, and probably even our life. And when we change/modify our breathing pattern the stored memories are released, felt, observed,

accept and then we become aware. And by continuing to breathe, the integration and transformation of the breath occurs. IMPROVES INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS Breathing in the correct way triggers a chain reaction on our body and mind that can improve our confidence and the image that others see of us. we.

GREATER EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL CONTROL, especially in moments of strong anxiety or panic

The mind becomes calmer and less chaoticReduces stressImproves brain oxygenation and reduces heart rateIncreases confidence and clarity in making decisions

I kindly explain to her that in this case it is not a question of gymnastics, rather this is a way of relaxing, of allowing her spine to relax in the space created by two foam rubber guides and that gentle and rhythmic breathing,

slow and repeated movements favor the secretion of serotonin (Laserotonin is a neurotransmitter synthesized mainly in the gastrointestinal system and at the level of the central nervous system. It performs numerous functions and intervenes in the regulation of important physiological processes such as the sleep/wake cycle, the sense of hunger/satiety

, intestinal motility, mood, memory and sexual desire. It is known above all for being the hormone responsible for good mood: the more serotonin we have in circulation, the greater our degree of contentment, satisfaction and psychophysical well-being. For this reason, serotonin is also known as the "happiness hormone".

)I suggest she try lying down for 5-10 minutes on soulspension (this serves as an approach for me to avoid a categorical no for fear of feeling pain!) She accepts, she lies down on the bed, I ask her how she feels the support of her body and how answer tells me "it hurts all over".

I accompany her in breathing so that she relaxes a bit before positioning soulspension, we position the instrument, she starts to stiffen again with fear, I put one hand on the solar plexus and one on the thoracic diaphragm and I invite her to think only about breathing. Afterwards some breathing cycles begin to relax. After 10 minutes,

I remove soulspension and ask her what the sensations are, if she feels any differences compared to the beginning! She smiles and tells me that her back feels more supported and it's a fairly new sensation! Despite her reticence she admits that she had never thought only of breathing and that you actually feel lighter.

At this point I explain to her that we could plan some postural suspension sessions, gradually increasing the duration of the treatment and that, if she wants, she could then purchase soulspension and practice conscious breathing for 10 minutes a day in order to maintain greater muscle elasticity.

2nd MEETING.

he enters the office less defensively, the greeting is accompanied by a smile, his posture is still very rigid, his tone of voice is more serene, he sits down with a sigh and hands me the scientific documentation requested from his family doctor and the diary food.

Regarding the latter she tells me "I usually don't eat so much meat but this week it was like that". I ask her if she managed to introduce the small dietary changes agreed upon in the first visit and very honestly she tells me that she has not implemented all because he didn't always remember to drink,

so some days he drank as little as 5 dl; she also tells me that if she has to go out she doesn't drink so as not to have the problem of having to go to the bathroom. She has managed to replace the snacks with fruit smoothies, "apart from a few mistakes" but the meals have remained the same, at the moment she is unable to start the meal with a fruit juice.

I ask her if she has noticed any changes and she replies that she actually feels less weighed down by eating fruit as a snack. She has taken the probiotics as recommended, "I'm about halfway through the treatment!" and she noticed that her abdominal swelling had improved.

The trace elements are pleasant and she believes that they have made her feel a little less tired. She adds that in this period she has had some problems with her pain, now considered chronic, and with her breathing. I read the food diary and underline to the patient what the deficiencies encountered with this type of diet,

Let's try together to create a food week that can be good from a nutritional point of view and also coincide with his tastes and eating habits. I suggest 2 lactose-free Schüssler salts (so as not to interfere with the intestinal rebalancing work underway),

number 7 magnesium phosphoricum and number 5 kalium phosphoricum: the first to be taken in the evening in previously boiled water and the second in the morning in cold or lukewarm water. For the dosage I recommend 7 tablets of each. I chose the number 5 kalium phosporicum for its indication at the level of the nervous and muscular system,

this salt is indicated when pain occurs together with a feeling of paralysis. In case of muscular asthenia and pain that worsens at the beginning of motor activity. The number 7 magnesium phosphoricum is indicated to attenuate the excitability of the vegetative centers and mitigates the transmission of nervous impulses to the muscles,

decreases muscle tension. Magnesium phosphate is also an analgesic and anti-inflammatory. I recommend taking it with previously boiled water to ensure that the magnesium can bind with the ammonia created in the body which, if not expelled, could create problems of gaseous congestion and flatulence.

We begin the work with SoulSpension, before letting N. lie down on the bed I ask her to walk around the room and try to feel how the support of her feet is and how her back feels. "I feel heavy, my back is stiff" I'll do it lie down on the bed, do some breathing to help her get into the rhythm. I place soulspension,

I ask her to listen and focus only on breathing and I begin the treatment. I reassure her by telling her that she can decide to remove SoulSpension whenever she wants. I decided not to start with the complete treatment immediately to allow N. to become familiar with the therapy. After 25 minutes, we remove the soulspension,

we continue with breathing for 5 minutes. I ask her to bend her legs, we practice a slight "swing" and little by little N. sits up. I make her walk and ask her if she feels any changes, surprised she says she feels lighter, straighter and that her breathing has also improved! From our conversations I understood that N.

she has never really thought about herself, she is afraid to express her needs, perhaps also because until now she has never felt truly understood, with the "label" of anxious syndrome all the disorders are excused!! This new perception of herself, learning to listen to herself and be listened to make her gain more and more confidence.

Next time I believe we will be able to carry out the postural suspension treatment in a complete way. Psychosomatics teaches us that the discomforts/pains of the body express what we are unable to say with the voice, but also that this serves to attract attention that we otherwise wouldn't have.

3rd MEETING I welcome N.,

the greeting and handshake are slightly more energetic, the posture always demonstrates a certain closure. Her complexion is less pale. I ask her how she is, how she has felt during this period and how the job search is going.

Regarding this topic, she tells me that she is very disappointed with the attitude taken by the competent offices but she is determined to continue the research. Her answers always have a nostalgic undertone despite the smile.

She recounts her progress: when it comes to nutrition, she has tried to follow the instructions even if she tells me "I don't struggle to change but my daughter and my husband do, so sometimes I follow their tastes and fall back on ready-made foods". She has lost 1.5 kg since she changed her diet.

However, the problem remains in the intake of liquids. The Schüssler salts have improved her pain slightly, while the fear of remaining blocked at the slightest movement is still present. She has finished the treatment with probiotics, she has less abdominal tension,

except for a few episodes that at the moment he cannot connect to specific foods or particular emotional situations.

I suggest you continue for another month with the Schüssler salts and add a Spagyric preparation which could alleviate the problem of chronic muscle inflammation by explaining to you that Spagyria also has an action on the emotional aspect. I ask you to seriously try drinking at least 1 liter of water a day outside of main meals.

We begin the SoulSpension session, she lies down and, incredibly, she enters the breathing cycle without effort, I ask her if she feels some parts of her body heavier than others: "the upper part of my back feels more rigid, and the right side rests more !"I begin the treatment, the movements are very gentle, I follow the rhythm of my breathing,

I insist more on opening the diaphragm, I ask her to expel the air in a more "sonic" way, she is very hesitant, her shyness holds her back, but by doing it together she manages to do it even if she then starts laughing out of embarrassment! I consider it an excellent result! I leave it "suspended" for a few minutes and then I conclude the session.

At the end she says she feels less muscle tension and that her diaphragm is freer, this gives her new energy for a moment she didn't think about anything else but herself! Personally I'm satisfied, I see a greater openness,

even if there remains a certain hesitation in tackling this new path of self-knowledge, let yourself be guided, begin to listen to yourself and perceive that you can feel better without "side effects".

4th MEETING She arrives slightly late, apologizes a thousand times and asks me if she can go to the bathroom.

I notice that her movements are less controlled even if they are always very rigid, which means that she probably feels more and more at ease. I make her sit in the studio, I reassure her, they talk for a moment "about this and that." She immediately tells me that Friday,

on Saturday and Sunday he tried to drink more since he was at home and had no problems with the bathroom and, amazed, he told me: "The first few days I had to go to the bathroom quite frequently, but now it's better, I drink about 1 liter – 1 and a half liters a day and even my visits to the bathroom are normal!".

However, she confesses to me that even when she doesn't drink but has to go on a trip or is away from home for a long time, she often has the urge to go to the bathroom and therefore her reluctance to drink more was also linked to these facts. I ask her "in your opinion why ?" answer "maybe because these situations create a bit of anxiety in me?" I don't delve into the topic of anxiety,

I believe it is more appropriate for the patient to make her reflections without forcing them, so as to maintain the level of trust and not create more stress which would only create closure. I point out to her that I appreciate her efforts and that I am happy with her changes. I believe that also gratification is a component of treatment.

I ask her if she has had problems with spagyria and she tells me that at the moment she has only managed to take 4 drops three times a day because she was afraid of increasing the dose. She can't tell me much about the effect, saying "Well, they haven't done me any harm,

it's already a success!" Now that you have finished taking the probiotics and trace elements, I propose other nutritional measures and I propose food supplements aimed at the fibromyalgia problem.

we continue with magnesium from Schüssler salts

we add a vitamin B6 and coenzyme Q10 supplement

as a trace element we introduce selenium

and we continue with a dietary regime to maintain the acid-base balance. The postural suspension session goes better and better. N.'s breathing is increasingly relaxed, this allows me to expand my movements during the treatment. No.

she confesses to me that since following this program she has no longer needed to take Simbicort (bronchial dilator) and that she wakes up much more rested. I would like to remind you that the Swiss rheumatism league also recommends light, regular physical activity. to alleviate ailments or make them more bearable,

I suggest she take SoulSpension home and try to do 2-3 exercises a day. Seeing her go out with the "mat" and the desire to test herself is a great satisfaction even if the perplexity in demonstrating the changes, the fear of not being able to do better demonstrate that there are still many stressors.

In the journey made so far I see that she is changing, she has understood that the true cure starts from itself and my role is to advise her, inform her, evaluate the effects of the remedies and changes proposed, to support and listen.

5th MEETING Upon her arrival I notice that she is visibly more relaxed, her walk is less stiff,

his gaze is softer. To my "Good morning, how are you? What good things happened during this period?" she looks at me a little perplexed and says "Nothing why?" I tell her what I noticed when she came in and I realize that she doesn't know how to handle a compliment and is taken aback. The recommended products are well tolerated, she feels that she moves better,

she feels less connected and adds: "I'm almost afraid to say it!" She continues with the vitamins, mineral salts and trace elements and her sensation is that she feels better.

I ask her to define what she intends to do better: "first of all they give me the security that if I'm not always good with nutrition I take the substances I need and then I feel less nervous, I have more muscular strength and I can carry out my tasks. daily tasks with less effort!" Nutrition had a good result,

the abdomen is more relaxed, the energy has improved and she has no longer had episodes of hives (side effect of cortisone remedies). She gives me the "soulspension" that I lent her, telling me that in two weeks she has had the opportunity to use it yes and no 4 times, the last time, perhaps because she was a little nervous, it didn't have the usual beneficial effect,

but he asks me if and where he can buy it. I consider it a great success! I suggest you keep this on loan (while waiting to buy one) and when you don't feel like using it, at least continue with the breathing exercises. Along the way today I see that he is changing, he has understood that the true cure starts from itself.

My role is to advise you, inform you, evaluate the effects of the proposed remedies and changes, support and listen. When speaking I point out your physical improvements which are also demonstrated in your posture, communication and willingness to pursue changes in your life. his daily newspaper and admits "well,

actually there has been a change and I feel better!" Listening, feeling supported and gratified and the effect of the treatments make her a little less anxious. We begin the postural suspension treatment. Every time N. is surprised by how he can immediately enter a state of relaxation,

the initial fear has disappeared, she notices that even during daily activities her breathing is deeper and calmer, her movements are less rigid. At the beginning I had a young woman in front of me, dissatisfied,

disheartened in the possibility of finding a therapeutic path that took into account her needs and also had results. Today N. arrives with the desire to continue with a healthy and correct diet, to drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day because she has understood the importance and effectiveness, he has more desire to exercise,

she is less anxious about changes, faces everyday life with more positivity and begins to look for activities on her own that make her take care of herself (water gymnastics). I hope that this path that she started with me can be continued and bring N.

to an ever greater awareness of one's body but above all of one's emotional and spiritual needs. The contact with herself, which she has only begun, brought the patient from a disheartened attitude and the search for "external" remedies, to a gradual awareness of her own resources.

I hope that this new state of health will sooner or later give her the strength to face her emotions and anxieties more openly. Thank you N. for your trust and for allowing me to accompany you on this journey!

OTHER TESTIMONIALSThese testimonials demonstrate that SoulSpension, thanks to its principles,

helps self-healing thanks to greater self-awareness!

Grazia Testimonial Thanks to SoulSpension I was able to make peace with my body and with the need to calm my emotions through food.

Thanks to SoulSpension sessions in the studio and regular exercises at home I can say that I feel more "centered"! Breathing in the correct way has improved my confidence and the image that others see of me.

Eating in a balanced way has become a need and a pleasure and my kilos (my weight) are disappearing, leaving room for greater self-esteem! Thanks SoulSpension! Testimony Paola The story of my experience with the Aloha method treatment, I would like to start by introducing myself briefly .

I am a 35 year old woman and I have been diagnosed with endometriosis for 5 years. Due to the latter I underwent 2 surgeries within 5 months, the second of which proved to be more challenging than the first as the disease had affected not only the ovaries but other parts of the body.

The consequence of these surgeries performed so soon afterward led to me being put into hormone-induced menopause. In January this year I suspended hormone therapy with the approval of my gynecologist because, after a prolonged period,

it is advisable to take a break to check ovulatory activity and above all to check the activity of endometriosis which is closely linked to the menstrual cycle.

I have been a client of Ornella for some time and it was she who proposed this new, more targeted therapeutic path to help me prolong the period of break from hormones as much as possible and so, after going to one of her evenings where she presented the mat and the method Aloha,

I decided to try! We planned a series of sessions until I had the second check-up with the gynecologist (scheduled for April) and so in February we started this new experience! At the first session I arrived at Ornella with pain in my ovaries because I was in a cyclical phase,

this pain stiffened my entire abdomen and consequently the rest of my posture. As soon as he had me lie down on the mat and position myself correctly, helping me with my breathing, I immediately felt a general improvement. Everything went up,

as Ornella assisted me with the manipulation I felt my body relax more and more and consequently also my abdomen. At a certain point something was unblocked in my right ovary and the well-being was even greater.

It was truly a very pleasant treatment because it brought me to a state of well-being in a very gentle way. At the end of the treatment I no longer had pain in my abdomen, but the most exciting sensation was the perception of my posture: more relaxed and above all more "centred".

Beautiful! The second meeting with Ornella had a different approach from the previous one: I arrived very tense because in the morning I had an accident where I was very scared (fortunately without doing anything to myself) so I was blocked in everything, from breathing, posture, muscles, etc.

Once the treatment started I had some difficulty breathing, then with the help of the therapist I began to breathe better. Little by little I felt that I was regaining possession of my body. At the end of the session I had a very pleasant sensation in my lower back and legs, but the perception of the WHOLE body remains exceptional.

When he made me walk in the room it was even more beautiful than the previous time: I felt my body and I was finally relaxed and free from the weight of the day. I experienced the third session without any particular experiences of stress (see the previous one!) for I can say that I fully appreciated the treatment. My difficulties,

especially at the beginning of the manipulations, they are always linked to breathing (resolved shortly thanks to the help and support of Ornella). This time I felt the relaxation of each of my limbs: fantastic.

The fact of letting yourself be guided and then letting yourself be supported after each movement performed by the therapist gives a very profound sensation as you perceive all the benefits of the method and how it works in synergy between the mat, therapist and patient. Reflecting more critically on myself I was able to conclude that my difficulty which,

particularly at the beginning of the session, what limits me is not being able to "let go". The fourth meeting was characterized by overcoming my limit described above. Ornella put a scented cloth with essences over my eyes and after some initial help with breathing I finally found my rhythm.

I managed to relax even more and finally let myself go (I almost fell asleep!). At the end of the session we reflected and took stock of the situation. The cycles I have had have been less painful and the flow would seem better too,

I was also able to see other benefits: I lost weight (in conjunction with Ornella's food program) and I have a less nervous hunger. The fifth session took place a couple of weeks after the last one, in this period of time where we have not seen I used the mat at home. I didn't do any particular exercises,

I preferred to focus more on breathing. In this session I appreciated all the maneuvers even more, my difficulty in letting myself go completely always remains a bit of a limit which is resolved as soon as Ornella supports me by helping me with the rhythm of breathing. I feel much more elastic and centered with my body,

this paradoxically leads me to a better acceptance of the illness, in the sense that I experience it more serenely, with less anxiety. This attitude of mine is also reflected in ovulation periods and less painful cycles. Fantastic! A few weeks after this last session,

I had the second gynecological check-up in which a 5 cm cyst was seen on one ovary. The probability that it was an endometriotic cyst was high,

so the gynecologist, after having taken a blood sample to see the markers in the blood (if these had been high they would have precluded a second medical consideration with consequent medical therapy) made an appointment for me after 6 weeks in order to verify the possible cyst growth.

Due to work commitments I was only able to contact Ornella by phone to update her, but that didn't mean I didn't continue with the exercises at home. After 6 weeks I went for a check-up and the results of the blood test were perfect and the ultrasound check no longer showed any cysts.

There is no point in describing how I felt! Despite this wonderful news, I continue to have quarterly check-ups, but this does not mean that I continue my sessions with SoulSpension because I perceive its benefits not only regarding my pathology but throughout my body and my being.

I am much more relaxed and I feel more centered in my life and this perception, in my way of thinking, must be kept alive because with the rhythms of today's life, it can only shield us from stressful situations and make us live life as it should be lived: peacefully and as carefree as possible.

This testimony is not linked to nutrition but to other effects of this wonderful tool!Testimonial SandyI discovered the SoulSpension Aloha Method mat through Ornella, during a meeting at her studio.I wasn't feeling very well, I was anxious, always tired, I had little appetite, in short, slightly depressed.

Ornella suggested that I want to adopt the SoulSpension method which immediately proved to be a very positive experience the first time, in fact at the end of the session I received a pleasant sensation of lightness, both physical and mental. After a few weeks I noticed a expansion of my chest,

my shoulder blades were looser and my breathing was deeper and more regular. Suffering from a lumbar hernia, by doing the exercises with my legs, I realized that the muscles along my entire spine were nice and warm and my legs worked more and more freely and with more lightness.SoulSpension,

it gives the body the space and opportunity to communicate and in my opinion thanks to this method, my body was able to free itself from sadness and pain accumulated during my life, which were no longer necessary. Needless to say, I would recommend it to everyone.

Group Sessions

I was lucky enough to be able to organize groups in Faido at the Capuchin hostel in an old primary school gym, the energy and silence of the place created the ideal environment for relaxation. SoulSpension did the rest!

The enthusiasm of these people encouraged me to continue organizing these group sessions. I asked them to define the effects of the sessions in a few words: relaxation - joy - free breathing - improved posture - calm - improved quality of sleep. Thank you SoulSpension! Thank you Patrizia Gavoni.
