Soulspension: Spine, Breath and Vagus Nerve – A Journey into the Relaxing Body

I lived in Hawaii at a time in my life when I needed to find myself. What I thought would be a journey outward, turned out to be a journey inward.

During that time on the island I learned a lot without anyone really “teaching” me: it was the sea itself that transmitted. It was the way the Hawaiians moved, breathed, lived.

A deep, organic harmony that spoke to my body in silence.

When I “really” stopped! I decided to study with them and there my great adventure began.

In Hawaii 🌺 I encountered two traditions that changed my perception of well-being: Chinese medicine and the wisdom of the Kauna, the ancient guardians of the spirit of the Pacific Ocean.

Both taught me that the spine is an antenna, and that inside us there is an invisible network that can lead to harmony… or block it.

All of this took root in my body, and many years later, gave birth to the Soulspension.

A simple support for deep adjustment

The Soulspension is a postural suspension tool. It may seem like just a Postural Tool, but in reality it is like a bridge: between the nervous system and the posture, between the mind and the body, between the inside and the outside world.

By leaning on it, the spine is supported in a neutral way, let go, not compressed, not forced. This creates a spontaneous and deep release.

The fascia relaxes, the structure reorganizes, the breath opens.

And something happens: the body regulates itself.

The Vagus Nerve, Our Great Ally

One of the most valuable effects of Soulspension is the modulation of the vagus nerve, that long nerve that starts from the brain and touches almost all the major organs.

The vagus nerve is like an orchestra conductor: it regulates the heartbeat, digestion, breathing, but also emotions, mood, and the ability to relax.

When we are stressed, the vagus nerve loses rhythm and the body goes on alert.

By leaning on the Soulspension, the vagal tone improves, thanks to the vertebral release, the posture that rebalances, the breathing that becomes wider and deeper.

It is a neurophysiological effect, but also a deeply sensorial one.

You feel it. You hear it.

Organs respond to breathing

In Chinese medicine, each organ has a rhythm, a season, an emotion.

The lungs, heart, liver, stomach and kidneys are much more than biological functions: they are energetic, emotional and vital centers.

When the posture rebalances and the breathing becomes deep, these organs are as if “massaged” from the inside.

It's a silent dialogue:

• the lungs open, the breath expands, the anxiety subsides

• the heart slows down, the beat harmonizes

• the liver releases accumulated tension

• digestion is activated

• the kidneys regain their ancestral strength

All this happens naturally, without effort. The body remembers.

It is the wisdom of the visceral system that is restarted.

A time to come home

Many people come to Soulspension because they have back pain, anxiety, tiredness, or simply can no longer breathe as before.

They often look for a quick fix.

What they find is an invitation: to stop, to lean, to listen.

The Soulspension does not “do” something to the body: it gives it the time and space to return to itself.

It doesn't correct: it regulates.

It doesn't force: it accompanies.

It is a gesture of profound intelligence towards oneself.

Bringing this vision to Italy

After many years, today it is exciting to bring to Italy what I have received and experienced in the islands and through my journey.

Soulspension was born from a deep memory, from many physical experiences, from studies and observations, but above all from a need:

to give the body a place of suspension and listening.

Because everything starts from silence and listening ♥️

In a time when everything screams and everything runs, learning to “stop well” is a form of gentle revolution.
